Ha Ha Tonka State Park is a wonderful green expanse spread over an area of 3,709.74 acres (1,501 hectares). Established in 1978, the park is managed by Missouri Department of Natural Resources. It offers a slew of exciting activities like hiking, boating, swimming and fishing. There are well marked trails for nature lovers. There are caves and springs, sinkholes, tunnels and other natural formations that attract several visitors throughout the year. One of the prime attractions in the park is the Ha Ha Tonka Castle which is presently in the ruinous state as it was burned down by a huge fire in 1942.
